How to get more Google reviews for your business.

Reviews are one of the first things a customer checks before calling a contractor. Most happy customers will leave one. They just need to be asked at the right time, in an easy way.

Ask right after the job

The best moment is when the work is done and the customer is happy, often while you are still on site. A week later, the goodwill has faded and the request gets buried.

Make it one tap

Get the direct review link from your Google Business Profile and send it by text or email, or print it as a QR code on your invoice or a leave-behind card. Every extra step loses people.

Follow up once

A single friendly reminder a few days later catches the customers who meant to but forgot. More than that starts to feel like pressure.

Reply to every review

Thank people for good reviews and answer critical ones calmly and briefly. Future customers read your replies as closely as the reviews.

What not to do

Do not pay for reviews, offer discounts in exchange for them, or write fake ones. It breaks Google's rules and can get reviews removed or your profile penalized. Ask everyone, not just the customers you expect to be happy.
